I am trying to install ESX on a custom build server. I have ASUS P5K mother board with 8 GB of RAM. I also have two SCSI ultra 160 drives connected to Adaptec 29160 internal SCSI card. I have verified that this card is in the VMWare HCL list. The drives are detected during the boot sequence.
During installing ESX 3.5 server, the installation does not detect the device driver and asks for the correct driver. I tried downloading the drivers from the Adaptec site (linux and Red Hat) which are way too big to be copied to one floppy disk. I tried putting them in buch of floppies and tried all of them but still no luck.
Can anyone help me what I shoud do next.
