New ESX host can't see Fibre SAN - Clariion

Hi,

I've spent about two hours going through the communities and have tried various things without success...basically, I've got a new ESX host which I've built, configured and networked, but I can't get it to see our existing SAN.

The SAN is a Clariion CX3-10c and it is hosting all our existing VMs (we currently have two hosts that are attached to the SAN)

I have installed the Navisphere agent and CLI on the new host

I have booted the host and have ENABLED both Emulex HBAs (the host has two HBAs installed) as they were showing as BIOS disabled by default

I have connected one of the HBAs to the fibre switch

On the fibre switch I have a flickering green light where I plugged the fibre cable in, which makes me think it's connected okay

On the HBA I've got a green light and a flickering orange light, which again makes me think the cabling is okay

BUT I can't see the host from the Navisphere front end, and the host can't see any storage even after rescans.

Any ideas what to try next? I suspect this may be something to do with zoning - do I need to tell the Emulex HBA how to find the storage processors? If so, how do I go about that? From the BIOS by rebooting the host and pressing ALT-E?

Any help or guidance appreciated..
