When I try to add storage I get a timeout message....

On the Vi client 2.0.2 build 50618. I'am trying to add storage from a SAN using the VI client. However after a moment or so I get a timeout message. When I increase the timeout on the client it goes away however it fails to format the storage and comes back with the message: "error during the configuration of the host: failed to update disk partition information"

anyone help?
