ESX and NetApp Best Practices

I am looking for some information on what works best in relation to using ESX on NetApp iSCSI storage.

I have a clustered 3050 Filer and 6 ESX 3.02 Update 1 hosts.connected by QLogic iSCSI TOC adapters.

I have configured a 600GB volume on the filer, setting the snapshot reserve to 0 and disabling the default snapshot schedule as per NetApp doc 3428-NetApp and VMware Best Practices

In the volume I have created a 300 GB LUN and have mounted this as a datastore in VMware - this will hold my Windows VM's

A number of my VM's have snapmanager software installed, and they connect directly to iSCSI LUNS hosted on volumes on the other filer head - again this works well.

What I am after from experienced admins out there is the information that is missing from the documentation, or what tips and tricks are available - as an example, I have read discussions about 1 VM per LUN per volume? as opposed to multiple VMs per LUN within a single volume. How big a LUN should be compared to its hosting volume (should it be 50%, 80% or 100%?) etc etc

I think I am about 80% there, but am struggling with some of the finer details

Thanks in advance.

Sean
