greetings

Although very familiar with vmware server 1.x, i am just now getting my first taste of esx server and vi client.

I am wondering, if i can use the vmware consolidated backup scripts to perfrom image level backups of the virtual machines on our esx server. The server is an hp proliant with attached scsi hard disks, No san is present. Is this supported, or does it require a san.

Ive been messing with the vcbmounter.exe command, but cant seem to get it working under this configuration. Am i just wasting time? Is there any simple thirdparty apps that i can use in conjunction with vcb that will make this easier. Most of our clients are going to be SMB's with two or three vms on a single esx server. Am i better off just sticking with vmware 1.x or is this going to work out
