Hi,
ESX 3.0.x hangs after installation (first boot) at "Initializing device support"
Hardware (setup is listed on HCL):
IBM xSeries 336 (8837)
2x Xeon 3.2HGz
8GB RAM
2x 73GB Ultra320 SCSI hot-swap HDD
Dual Broadcom 5721 Gigabit Ethernet PCI
RSA II Card
BIOS v1.15 (newest)
I have already tested:
second (identical) server (same result)
CentOS (works fine) instead of ESX
ESX without any VMFS partition on local disk
single processor (CPU #2 removed)
onboard Broadcom disabled (Intel Pro 1000 used)
RSA II removed
ESX 3.0.2
ESX 3.0.3 crashs (PSOD)
