Problems with updating ESX 3.5 to 3.5 update 1

 

Hi all,

 

 

  i wanted to update one of my esx'es. It is 3.5, i wanted to update it to update 1 ver. In order to do so, i created a baseline and with update manger plugin using VI client, i wanted to update the version. I received errors:

ges above.

2008-05-27 15:45:33 (6538) ERROR:  Could not write out new initrds.

2008-05-27 15:45:33 (6538) INFO :  Releasing lock on file '/etc/vmware/esx.conf'.

2008-05-27 15:45:33 (6538) ERROR:  /usr/sbin/esxcfg-boot failed, examine /var/log/vmware/esxcfg-boot.log for details.

 

 

1) I checked free space, that is not the problem i think.

 

 

2) uname -r

2.4.21-47.0.1.ELvmnix
