Gidday, I was wondering if there's any/much value in using multiple SCSI controllers inside a VM in ESX 3.0.x?
Example - I have an MS SQL server with 3 discs (all individual discs within a single LUN attached to a 3 ESX 3.0.2 cluster). Should I use a separate SCSI controller for each disc, or is there nothing to be gained?
Other example - I have a NetWare server that uses 2 discs, the SYS volume is (like above) internal to attached storage to the ESX cluster, but the main data volume is a RAW LUN. Again, a SCSI controller for each, or is one across both OK?
I should say in both cases I have given each disc its own controller, but I was wondering about what is considered the best practice for such things?
