I am currently experencing a problem getting NetBackup 6.5.1 and VCB to backup a virtual machine. Here is what I have. My Netbackup server has a credential configured for a Virtual Center Server with the proper user name and password and set to use port 443. However when I configure the policy to backup a vm registered in that Virtual Center Server the backup fails with error Error: snapshot error encountered(156)
When I look at the bpfis log this is the error I see:
19:55:36.234 http://1444.652<2> onlfi_vfms_logf: do_cmd: Command failed ""C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Consolidated Backup Framework\vcbMounter.exe" -h vc25-59359.pso.vmware.com:902 -u "administrator" -p ********** -c "C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Consolidated Backup Framework\vmName.cache" -a ipaddr:backupclient.vmeduc.com -t file -L 6 -r "c:\mnt\backupclient.vmeduc.com" -m san" <NUL >C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\VfMS-01444209578093015652000000002-a00652 2>C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\VfMS-01444209578093015652000000003-a00652
</div>
Notice the port it's trying to use which is 902. I know for a fact the credential that is configured for this server uses 443.(See Atached) When I run this command manually with the right port number everything works fine but for some reason I can't make Netbackup use the right port number. Can anyone offer a suggestions please?
Thank you.
