VMSN files missing from Datastore

We have taken a snapshot of a VM and all the snapshot disks still exists on the Datastore(vm-000001.vmdk) and the VMX file still points to the snapshot disks. When I was checking the Datastore I found the snapshot file(vm.vmsn) is missing from the Datastore. I am sure if we restart the VM its going to thrown an error”VMSN is missing”

Now I am planning to commit the snapshot. Since the VMSN files are missing will that create a problem when we delete the snapshot.
