Datastore with HP EVA 4000

Hello,

I am using virtual disk from HP EVA 4000 as datastore. I was wondering if ESX 3.5 support resizing the vdisk? I would like to resize the vdisk so that I wouldn't have to do another disk and use extension to resize my datastore.

Then I have problem with EVA. When I make new vdisk and present it to ESX I have to reboot the ESX to be able to see the new disk. Can I somehow avoid the reboot?
