Has anyone else experienced this issue or possibly have a solution??
We've got two ESX 3.5.0 82663 running a redhat enterprise 5.2 guest os which is being stored on an NFS server. (NFS mounted to the ESX host from within Virt. Infrastructure Console).
The NFS Server is a sun solaris 10 server with IPMP (IP Multipathing) and recently we've started to sporadic see messages on the guest consoles that look like this
sd 0:0:0:0:
sd 0:0:0:0:
With the guest OS log showing kernel messages like the following....
Sep 23 13:29:49 XXXX kernel: mptscsih: ioc0: attempting task abort! (sc=ffff8100257d6b00)
Sep 23 13:29:49 XXXX kernel: sd 0:0:0:0:
Sep 23 13:29:49 XXXX kernel: command: Read(10): 28 00 06 b0 df dd 00 00 08 00
Sep 23 13:29:49 XXXX kernel: mptscsih: ioc0: task abort: SUCCESS (sc=ffff8100257d6b00)
Oddly enough, the other guest OS's on the server (all of which are the most recent redhat 5.2) get the same error messages at the same time frames...
Is this a result of IPMP on the NFS Server? I realize this might just be an issue to submit with VMWare Support but I'd figured I'd hit the boards before tackling tech support!!
Thanks!!!
