Hi guys,
I'm about to upgrade from ESX server 3.0.1 to 3.0.2. I have been told to do a fresh install (we have a HA cluster) and to modify the system partitions to make them larger. The recommendations i have been given are:
/boot 256 MB
/home 4096 MB
/tmp 4096 MB
/usr 4096 MB
/var 4096 MB
/opt 4096 MB
swap 2048 MB
vmkcore 100 MB
/ Fill
My question is how do set these up? Some of them on our current system just look like directories? Are they supposed to all be mount points? Also, should they be a fixed size or should they be expandable? Any help would be appreciated
