Cannot connect to VM host with gui

We've got an HP machine using esx 3.0, it has 3 vm's on it.

host ip is xx.xx.xx.27

vm ip's xx.xx.xx.41,42,and .43

I cannot access the .27 or the .41 ip's(mui is on the .27)

The .42 and .43 are pingable. I cannot get to the 27 with mui to

start the vm's after a power hit.   I've rebooted the box(a few times).

Is there a way in Linux to start the vm's from the command line?

Better yet, is there a way to bring up that .27 interface?

The linux ifconfig shows it's up.

We've got a few other machines hosting vm's and they all appear

to have the same setup?
