How to hot copy VM and get copy up on another ESX server

HI there

We have ESX 3.5 in production, but the newbee question is:

Can I somehow make a copy of living  VM mashine without downtime, and  get it up and running on another ESX test server?

I can not use SVMotion, because I do not want to move it, but to keep the existing machine running (no down time allowed), and also can not use copy of a shapshot, because I need consistentdata on each side after the process is over

Am I making any sence here ?
