Help with Raw Disk Mappings

Hi there,

I'm totally new to VMware and was hoping someone can help with a problem I'm having.

I've got ESX3.0 installed on an IBM diskless blade.  ESX OS is running off a 3PAR SAN.  Everything is up and running and working great.  I have created a second LUN on the SAN and added it as storage to the ESX server.  I have successfully built a Windows 2003 VC on the server with a 10GB boot partition.

What I am trying to do now is add a data partition on the VC that connects directly to the SAN so that once the VC is in production, I can increase the size of the data drive without having to shut it down.  My understanding is that this is achievable by creating a raw disk mapping to the SAN.  Is that correct or have I completely misunderstood the concept of RDMs?

When I go to add a HDD using RDM, the only target LUN that it displays is the one that the ESX server is built on (see below).  Question is how do I add additional LUNS to this list?

Thanks in advance for any help.
