Help on lost .vmdk during storage Vmotion

Hello,

we did a storage VMotion from the SAN to a local VMFS.

The storage VMotion did not complete and the situation went as follows:

  • SAN VMFS

    • Disk_0.flat.vmdk

    • Disk_0.vmdk

    • DMotion-scsi0:00_Disk_0-delta.vmdk

    • DMotion-scsi0:00_Disk_0.vmdk

  • Local VMFS

    • VMX and VMXF files

    • DMotion-scsi0:00_Disk_0-000001-delta.vmdk

    • DMotion-scsi0:00_Disk_0-000001.vmdk

The machine was running ok; nevertheless, due to a mistake, the vmdk files on SAN (DMotion-scsi0:00_Disk_0.vmdk and Disk_0.vmdk) were deleted.

When machine powered off, of course, it was not able to power on again, since DMotion-scsi0:00_Disk_0-000001.vmdk (local) is point to its SAN parent in the chain (DMotion-scsi0:00_Disk_0.vmdk).

Now, we were able to recreate the vmdk for the original flat disk (Disk_0.flat.vmdk) simply recreating an identical disk;

Which way can we follow to manually recreate the DMotion-scsi0:00_Disk_0.vmdk ?

Any suggestions ?
