I'm having issues with VMotion after installing a new host in my cluster, I'm running ESX 3.5 with VC 2.5.
The problem is that a vm will only hot migrate onto the newer server, but then won't migrate off! It complains about cpu mismatch (see attached jpeg). I have tried hiding the nx flag as suggested in the KB article but it still fails.
The existing hosts run a TULSA 3.5GHZ DUAL CORE INTEL whereas the new server runs a TIGERTON 2.4GHZ QUAD CORE INTEL. According to KB article 1991 these are both compatible CPU's in the "group C" section of their diagram?
My problem has now escalated over the weekend as 10+ vm's have vmotioned via DRS to the new host but i now can't get them off! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
