I'm having a problem with several hosts in a production cluster taking exactly 30 minutes to exit maintenance mode following a reboot. When the hosts finally exits HA fails and has to be manually reconfigured which works first time. HA and DRS are enabled and work ok with no errors normally.
We have 14 x HP BL460c hosts all running on ESX 3.5 update 2 build 110268 with VC on 2.5 update 2 build 104215. 10 of the hosts have 2 x quad core 1.86GHz cpus with 20Gb RAM and the remainder have 2x quad core 3.0GHz cpus with 32Gb RAM. Its usually the hosts with 3.0GHz cpus and 32Gb RAM that are affected by this. EVC is enabled on the cluster.
The host is up and running ok and HA / VC agents appear to be started and no errors in log file that i can see. Is there another service that is stuck or is it a case of sitting and waiting......
Any ideas......
