We had to resize our root partition on one of our 3.0.2 ESX hosts. In the process, our Linux swap partition ended up corrupt. We restored the partition and then had to re-activate the partition with the kswap command. We still get the no swap partition error during host startup. I believe the problem is the UUID specification in the fstab file is incorrect. However, I cannot find a way in ESX to list the UUID's for the host partitions. Linux commands such as sudo vol_id, blkid, and ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid do not work. What is the process for finding the swap partition UUID in ESX, so I can correct it in fstab?
Thanks for any input,
Greg
