Hi,
Since installing ESX 3.5 I've installed two P400 array controllers into our Intel Servers (not HP) and everything working.....well.....I think so. How do I know if a hard drive has died? Currently I have no idea whats working and what isn't.
What software do I need to monitor this? From HPs website I've seen HP System Health Application and Insight Management Agents for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (x86) but is that right for a non HP server and can it be configured to email as soon as there's a problem.
I also get weekly emails from our ESX servers noting there specs, patch levels etc (ESXHealthcheck script) which I've modified to include some of our own DMI information. Is it possible to get these details using sh scripts?
Thanks for anyones help
