NFS connection Lost then restored, Now VM's inaccessible

I have two Test VM's setup with NFS. The NFS server is a Win2k3 R2 server.  I had to reboot the win2K3 server. Before doing so, I shutdown the 2 VMs that I had running off the NFS shares.  Rebooted the server. When it came back up. the Virtual Infrastructure Client says the 2 VM's are inaccessible. Although when I look at Configuration-Storage  it shows the NFS up and running.

I know that I'd be able reboot the ESX server and it'll be working again. But I don't want to do that as I have 5 other production VM's running and I can't reboot the server during working hours.  Is there a manual way for me to get the ESX server to recognize that the NFS  VM's are back and available again?

Since I know it'll work by rebooting the ESC host, I believe it to be a matter of restarting some service. Hopefully without affecting the other running VMs.

I have ESX version 3.01. Running on  RHE.

Thank you.
