Hi

I have installed the latest vmwaretools on a Ubuntu server 8.03

I have run vmware-install.pl and vmware-config then i have run:

/etc/init.d/networking stop

rmmod pcnet32

rmmod vmxnet

depmod -a

modprobe vmxnet

/etc/init.d/networking start

However here is my lspci output:

lspci

00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation 440BX/ZX/DX - 82443BX/ZX/DX Host bridge (rev 01)

00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 440BX/ZX/DX - 82443BX/ZX/DX AGP bridge (rev 01)

Something wrong pcnet32 is used but a lsmod shows no pcnet32 only vmxnet

lsmod | grep vm

vmxnet                 19456  0
