Insufficient disk space on datastore ".

Hi,

I have two (2) esx 3.0.1 servers that are connected to a Clarion AX150 with four (4) datastores as follows:

FC RAID 1 - 1: 128 GB total, 49 GB free

FC RAID 1 - 2: 128 GB total, 59GB free

FC RAID 5 - 1: 512 GB total, 448 GB free

FC RAID 5 - 2: 521 GB total, 466 free

There are five (5) VMs on each server; one (1) is on the local storage and the other four (4) have their C: drives on the RAID 1 datastore and other drives on the RAID 5 datastore.

I am trying to create a 375 GB virtual disk on FC RAID 5 - 2 for a VM that is hosted by esxsrv2 but i get the "insufficient disk space on data store" message.  I can create two (2) 200 GB disks on the same datastore but not the one (1) 375 GB disk.  The 375 GB disk can be created on the FC RAID 5 - 1 datastore which actually has less free space available.  I get the error whrtehr or not the VM is powered on or not.

Can any one please assist me in resolving this problem (apart from putting the 375 GB disk on the FC RAID 5 - 2 datastore).  Thanks for any assistnace that is given.

Mac
