I have three Dell PE 2950's, configured exactly alike, that I am upgrading to VMWare 3.5 from 3.0. Two of them, I was able to upgrade without any problems using the graphical interface. The third one is giving me problems. The installer is not detecting that my drive has been partitioned. I get the Warning: The partition table on device sda was unreadable. To create new partitions it must be initialized, causing the loss of ALL DATA on this drive. his operation will override any previous installation choices about which drives to ignore. Would you like to initialize this drive, erasing ALL DATA? No or Yes.
The installation documentation states to click No and exit from the installation but doesn't give me any information on what to do next. My question is, has anyone run into the same or similar issue and what did you do to get past it? Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can give me.
